LifeStream Presents Elder Law Presentations to Communities in East Central Indiana

May 11, 2017
LifeStream Services invites the public to attend a series of elder law presentations focusing on advance directives. An advance directive is a guide to a person’s wishes regarding future medical care and treatments if one is no longer able to make decisions due to illness or incapacity. This document is essential in helping families and physicians understand the wishes of the patient regarding medical / healthcare instruction.

LifeStream works to ensure that seniors and people with disabilities in Blackford, Delaware, Grant, Henry, Jay, Madison, and Randolph counties have access to the resources they need to live independently and feel secure. Filling out an advance directive allows the person to be independent by allowing them to choose their own medical decisions.

At least one presentation is conducted in each county by qualified, professional attorneys. The presentations will take place at the following dates and locations:
  • May 18th - Winchester Community Library from 1-2 p.m.
  • May 22nd - Marion Public Library from 1-2 pm
  • May 23rd - Jay County Library from 10-11 a.m.
  • May 23rd - New Castle Henry County Library from 10-11 a.m.
  • May 24th  - Blackford County YMCA from 10-11 a.m.
  • May 25th - Maring- Hunt Library from 10:30-11:30 a.m.
