Maxwell  a leadership expert\, pastor and New York Times bestselling author will be presented with the twelfth annual World Changer Award at the Society of World Changers Convocation on Wednesday\, Oct. 14 at 10:00 a.m. The event will be held in the Chapel Auditorium and include music from the IWU Chorale\, the presentation of a life-size bust of Maxwell and an address from the honoree. The Convocation is open to the public and will be followed by a short\, media-only question-and-answer session in the Chapel Green Room at \n\n11:10 a.m.\n\nMaxwell is the founder of The John Maxwell Company\, The John Maxwell Team and EQUIP. Through his involvement with these organizations\, he has trained more than 5 million leaders in nearly every country of the world. In 2014\, he was identified as the #1 leader in business by the American Management Association  and the most influential leadership expert in the world by Business Insider and Inc. magazine. That same year Maxwell also received the Mother Teresa Prize for Global Peace and Leadership from the Luminary Leadership Network.\n\nIWU established the Society of World Changers in 2003 to recognize role models who have exemplified the concept of being a world changer and whose lives can serve as an inspiration to future generations.
