This concert is the culmination of a season-long celebration in honor of Maestro Alexander Platt. The Board of Directors will honor him at a reception following the concert for 21 years of service to the organization. This final concert of the 2016-17 "Masterpiece" series will feature the piano duo of Dr. Steve Hyman and Steinway Artist Marilyn Shields-Wiltsie in a performance of Mozart's Concerto for Two Pianos and Orchestra\, No. 10 in E-flat Major. The IWU Chorale and University Singers will form a combined choir of more than 100 voices and perform Beethoven's beloved Symphony No. 9 in D minor with faculty and alumni soloists Lisa Dawson\, Rebecca Roy\, Thomas Hall and Keith Brautigam.
