The Auction has become a wonderful end-of-the-season tradition and a source of significant funding for the MPO. The evening begins with a Silent Auction at 6:00 p.m. where bidders may browse and bid on a large collection of unique items. Dinner is served at 7:30 p.m., followed by a Live Auction with an enticing selection of highly valuable and even priceless items. Limited table seating is available with advance reservations by Friday, April 15. This season’s Auction will also feature a new category of original fine art, pottery and sculpture to highlight the work of local artists.
The MPO’s 2015-16 Season, “A Symphony for the Senses,” has been filled with performances that rejuvenated the senses and pleased a wide range of musical tastes. For more than 45 years, the community it serves has generously supported the MPO, demonstrating a mutual commitment to the arts and cultural vitality of Grant County and the surrounding area. With such support, the orchestra has flourished from a small group of volunteer musicians into a professional symphony with high artistic standards and educational initiatives that provide the framework for each season. Some of the finest musicians in the state have been featured again this year along with several accomplished guest artists under the direction of Maestro Alexander Platt in the most beautiful and intimate venues in the county.
