The Simon & Garfunkel Story Headlining Ford Theater Stage
WHO: The Simon & Garfunkel Story
WHAT: The Simon & Garfunkel Story, as part of the Wabash Valley Music Association Series (WVMA) presented by Parkview Wabash Hospital, will feature Taylor Bloom (Art Garfunkel) and Benjamin Cooley (Paul Simon) playing the parts of the famous Simon & Garfunkel duo.
WHERE: Honeywell Center, 275 West Market Street, Wabash IN 46992
WHEN: Friday, Feb. 7 at 7:30 p.m.; Ford Theater doors will open at approximately 6:45 p.m.
WHY: The internationally-acclaimed hit theater performance, The Simon & Garfunkel Story, will return to the Ford Theater stage after a sold-out, worldwide tour and blockbuster tour of North America. The nostalgic multimedia experience will feature an immersive, concert-style theater show telling the story of folk-rock dup Paul Simon & Art Garfunkel.
The performance will retell the stories from their beginnings as Tom & Jerry to their incredible success as one of the best-selling music groups of the 1960s to the duo’s dramatic split in 1970. The Simon & Garfunkel Story culminated with the famous “The Concert at Central Park” reunion in 1981.
Using state of the art video projection, photos, and original film footage, the show will also feature a full, live band performance all of their hits including “Mrs. Robinson,” (feature in the 1967 film, “The Graduate”), “Cecilia,” “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” “Homeward Bound,” and more.
Choice Radio called this performance “Storytelling at its finest,” while Capital Radio said the performance was “Enchanting.” “For once, you can believe the hype,” said British Theatre Guide.
