Assembly Controls Technician

Job description:
  •  Develop and interpret electrical wiring diagrams.
  •  Follows established standards for drawings and component selections.
  • Uses hand tools and multi-meter to safely work in electrical panels.
  • Energize electrical systems and configure hardware per application specifications.
  • Works with Engineering Group to provide input and define project scope as required.
  • Professional quality of work during project design and implementation.
  •  Strong understanding of basic electrical/electronic principals.
  •  Creates electrical projects bill of materials software.
  •  Demonstrated capability in Design/Drafting Tools AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
  •  Proficient in Programming Logic Controllers (PLC) (e.g. Factory Talk, ESA, Magelis)
  •  Exhibited proficiency in configuring and installing inverter drives. (Powerflex, Schneider)
  •  Understands internal customer requirements for communication interface, networking, and creates specifications based on these requirements.
  •  Experience with maneuvering multi-axis robots; preferably Fanuc, ABB
  •  Designs, develops, programs PLC code for given requirements and specifications.
  •  Reviews, repairs and upgrades legacy code to current standards.
  •  Troubleshoots issues with existing company installed control systems.
  •  Documents and communicates new functionality of company developed equipment.
  • Working strength of PLC Ethernet networking fundamentals.
  •  Intimate understanding of PLC Ladder/Boolean Logic.
