CSA Presents Finding Nemo, Jr. at the Walton Performing Arts Center May 3rd-5th

Marion, IN-The Community School of the Arts is excited to announce that tickets are on sale now for the upcoming production of Finding Nemo Jr.  The CSA Theatre compANY will perform this spectacular family musical filled with dozens of larger than life puppets at the F. Ritchie Walton Performing Arts Center at Marion High School on May 3rd and 4th at 7pm and May 5th at 2pm.

Marlin, an anxious and over-protective clownfish, lives in the Great Barrier Reef with his kid Nemo, who longs to explore the world beyond their anemone home. But when Nemo is captured and taken to Sydney, Marlin faces his fears and sets off on an epic adventure across the ocean. With the help of lovable characters such as optimistic Dory, laid-back sea turtle Crush, and the supportive Tank Gang, Marlin and Nemo both overcome challenges on their journey to find each other and themselves.

Featuring memorable songs such as “Just Keep Swimming,” “Fish Are Friends Not Food,” and “Go With the Flow,” Finding Nemo JR. brings a vibrant underwater world to life on stage in a story full of family, friendship, and adventure.

CSA Theatre compANY member Lillian Weaver is 16 years old and will be playing the role of Nemo in this production.  When asked what she was most excited about performing this musical Lillian said, "as a huge Disney parks nerd I've grown up watching this show and being inspired by all of the performers at Walt Disney World. This show has been so fun to be in and a huge learning experience especially with the puppetry work!"

Inspired by the original Animal Kingdom performance, this production of Finding Nemo Jr. will feature all characters in the form of large puppets. All of your favorite characters including Nemo, Marlin, Dory, Bruce, Squirt and others will be represented by large puppets operated and brought to life by the CSA actors. Larger than life puppets of everyone's favorite sea turtle Crush and Professor Ray will bring a whole other wow factor to the production. Other magical puppets including jellyfish, kite fish, and other sea life will also bring this magical disney story alive.

"This show has been such a wonderful challenge and joy to bring to life.  From the design team creating the dozens of puppets you will experience on stage, to the challenge of a different kind of storytelling for all of our actors, this show has been an exciting new experience for all involved.  I hope that the community will come out and experience this show this will be a first of its kind on the Walton Performing Arts Center stage." said CSA Executive Director and director of this production Shelly Inskeep
