GRAE launched our CDA certification program in May 2025. Students complete coursework and fulfill their hands-on training requirement in partnership with several area preschools and childcare centers.
The cohort certified this fall has been working with Jumpstart Childcare Center.
The Child Development Associate® (CDA) Credential™ is the most widely recognized credential in early childhood education, and it is a key stepping stone on the path of career advancement in early childhood education. The CDA is based on a core set of competency standards that guide early childhood professionals toward becoming qualified educators of young children.
Through the GRAE CDA program, adult learners are able to access classes, exams, and practical hands-on training. This helps local adults work toward new employment opportunities, and helps fill a need for trained early childhood education professionals in our community.
