Marion High School Certified ''FAFSA Completion Goal School''

MHS is a certified FAFSA Completion Goal school

Marion High School is proud to have earned the 2025 FAFSA Completion Badge issued by the Indiana Commission for Higher Education!

The CHE has certified that MHS met the state's goal for senior students' completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid for the 2024-25 school year by the state's priority deadline of April 15.

The FAFSA is a key to college affordability for many, unlocking millions of dollars in both state and federal aid. Two years ago, Indiana adopted a FAFSA completion requirement for high school seniors (with opt-out provisions), and since that time, Indiana has seen steady growth in completion of this important step to prepare students for life after high school.

At Marion High School, that growth in FAFSA completion has been due in part to outstanding high school counselors — including Class of 2025 lead counselor Tonya Bishop — along with supportive administrators and community partnerships, including ongoing work with our partners at Project Leadership to provide FAFSA support, 21st Century Scholar and ScholarTrack support, career and college prep support, and more.

This year's seniors and their parents/guardians will again have the opportunity to work with the FAFSA experts from Project Leadership during upcoming labs. Any seniors (or their parents/guardians) can contact Class of 2026 lead counselor Kelly Myers with questions on this or any other senior requirement.
