Kent Benson featured guest at LifeStream Legend Golf Tournament
Basketball Legend Kent Benson will be the featured guest at the sixth annual LifeStream Legends Golf Tournament set for May 20 at The Players Club in Yorktown. Benson will visit with golfers and speak briefly during the opening program at lunch.
Benson attended Indiana University, Bloomington, where he ended his career with 1,740 points and 1,031 rebounds. He is currently the No. 2 rebounder in school history. After graduation in 1977, Benson played basketball professionally as the No. 1 draft pick for the Milwaukee Bucks and later played for the Detroit Pistons and the Utah Jazz before finishing his career with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He wore jersey #54 for his entire career. He is currently president/CEO of True Champion Consulting in Indianapolis.
The Legends Golf event on May 20 will help raise funds to enable LifeStream to continue to make a difference in the lives of isolated, frail people in East Central Indiana.
Registration begins at 11 a.m., and lunch is planned for noon; golf will begin at 1 p.m. Cost is $75 a person or $275 and includes golf, lunch, cart and opportunities to win prizes. To register online, visit www.lifestreaminc.org. Registrations will also be accepted by mail. The Fame sponsor is Individual Support Services, which is also providing lunch. Character sponsor is Mutual Bank.

The golf tournament will feature two $5,000 hole-in-one contests sponsored by Morgan Automotive and Bateman Senior Meals, a guaranteed-winner putting contest and prize opportunities for players. Additional golfers and sponsors are welcome.

LifeStream is the Aging and Disability Resource Center for East Central Indiana. The nonprofit agency helps older adults, people with disabilities and their caregivers with services and programs such as transportation, nutrition, in-home care, caregiver support and much more. The agency last year touched the lives of more than 12,000 individuals.
